The waters around Cape Cod are among the best in the Northeast for fishing- after all, Cape Cod was named after a fish! With over 350 ponds dotting this peninsula, and the lovely blue ocean that surrounds us, visitors who like to fish are happy campers here.

Charter boats and party fishing boats are available to everyone who wants to stop looking at the water and finally be on the water. You don't have to worry about fishing licenses, and you don't need to worry about gear. The charter boats do their best to help you have memories that will last a lifetime.

If you are a freshwater fisherman, you can have your pick of many different varieties of fish on the Cape. However, you must be aware that although you do not need a fishing permit to go salt water fishing for recreation, you do need a license to fish freshwater ponds. If you are over the age of 70 or under the age of 15, you're exempt, but all others must apply for and pay for a Massachusetts fishing license ($30-$40). You can pick them up at the town clerk's office and select tackle shops.
