Arts Dune Tours

Arts Dune Tours offer several different types of trips. Their Daily 1 hour tour of the sand dunes & beaches in the National Seashore Park is a great way to view and learn about the Provincetown environment. The 1.5 Race Point Lighthouse Tour is offered on Sundays and takes you off the beaten path to explore the lighthouse. The 2 hour Sunset Tour is similar to the Daily Tour, but ends with a Cape Cod Sunset. The 2 hour Clambake Tour is a Sunset Tour, plus a picnic style Cape Cod Clambake dinner!

Marine Animal Discovery Center

Marine Animal Discovery Center is an independent, non profit rehibilitation and release hospital. At the moment, they mainly treat sea turtles and seals, with future plans to treat dolphins, porpouses and small whales. Visit for an educational experience on how to help sea life on Cape Cod. The Center includes displays, specimens and information on marine animals, animal rehibilitations, strandings and educational programs. Also offers a gift shop with local art and jewelry, plus educational toys and fair trade items.

Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary

Wellfleet Bay provides over 1000 acres of peace and unmatched beauty on the hillsides and shoreline oerlooking Wellfleet Harbor.  Five miles of trails bring you to a panoramic salt marsh, sandy barrier beach, and pine woodlands, attracting a wide array of wildlife.  The sanctuary features a universally accessible trail and an award winning "green" nature center with numberous exhibits and aquariums.  Wellfleet Bay offers a variety of fun, educational family programs, including tidal flats explorations, turtle prowls, and nature themed boat cruises.  Nature Center open daily from 8:30 am to dusk.  Admission: Free to Mass Audubon members, $5 adults, $3 for children 12 and younger, and seniors.

Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary

2.5 miles of trails meander through 101 acres of beautiful National Seashore Land at the Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary. The land is home to vernal pools, open meadows, a salt marsh, local species and wildlife. Surrounded by 400 acres of beautiful conservation land, the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History itself is made up of two floors of exhibits about the wildlife of Cape Cod. Explore the museums exhibits on whales, snakes, turtles, fish and more! There are many interactive exhibits that are geared to children. After the museum, you can explore the many trails surrounding, including the walking trails of Wing Island. The museum holds many events and kids programs.

The Cape Cod Canal Visitors Center is more of a free museum that offers a plethora of information about the Cape Cod Canal. They have a ton of hands on displays, and interesting exhibits. You can walk the surrounding area along the canal, down to the Town Neck Beach.
